New international standard for assessing environmental impact of buildings
Written by Lenny AntonelliAccording to Building.co.uk, the three leading international tools for assessing the environmental impact of buildings will soon be combined to create a common international standard.
Representatives from each of the rating tools - the US's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) asssessment method, as well as the British BRE Environmental Assessment Method (BREAM) and Australian Green Star method - will sit on a working group charged with developing the common method.
