Winners of 2013 UK Passivhaus awards announced

The winners of the 2013 UK Passivhaus Awards were announced last Thursday at a ceremony at the residence of the Austrian Ambassador in London.

The Totnes passive house B&B emerged as the winner in the private housing category, which was sponsored by the Ecology Building Society.

The Lancaster Cohousing project emerged victorious in the  social housing category, while in the non-domestic category, the Canolfan Hyddgen office building and IT training facility in Machynlleth, Wales was victorious.

We're set to feature all three winning projects in the next issue of Passive House Plus, while shortlisted projects such as Plummerswood, Ditchingham and Green Base have already been featured in the magazine.
